Santa Barbara Bowl times confirmed

"I just got off the phone with a Santa Barbara bowl rep (805 962-7411) and confirmed that there will be a 10pm curfew. Start time for the concert will be 6pm for 65DOS and 7pm for The Cure."

Update: "According the the Santa Barbara Bowl website no cameras are allowed. However, a Santa Barbara Bowl representative just confirmed (via telephone) that for the Cure cameras will be allowed except professional cameras."
(Thanks Ignacio)

  1. so half the show will be in the sun. they might at well open with the pop encores and work their way backwards.

  2. If this report is true, the cure will be out in the sun for 1 hour and 10 minutes. It will be silly to start the concert with Under The Stars. Maybe they should try Mint Car. " The sun is up I'm so happy I could scream."

The original date of this Concert was scheduled for October and that start time made sense back then but not in this time of the year. Seems nobody thought about changing the time. Idiots. I hope Roberts voice sounds good.

  4. I am from that area, but now live in L.A.. S.B. Bowl has a strict rule with "curfew" because of the homes surrounding the bowl. I had a friend that used to live behind the bowl, and concerts on his lawn was a BBQ event! Anyway, if the guys play a min over curfew, they will get fined.

  5. This really sucks. The new song UTS has crashing waves (next to ocean) but will not make sense to sing Underneath the Stars when the Sun is out.

  6. Why do you have such early curfew in the States...can you not get a drink after 10pm?

  12. Sneak them in anyway. :) I'd like to see the venue staff try to nail everyone with a camera.

  13. booz cut off early! 830 I think, and the staff is very polite. THey are volunteers, and do not get paid. There is a waiting list to be a volunteer. I had a problem with one and I called the next day and the person i spoke with(manager)took is very serious. It was for the Mode, exciter Tour. Like i have said I have been to the bowl many times. They do a serious search of bags but girls can get cam or what ever in because of thier breast.

  14. Have fun everyone! Even though there will be daylight, you will have a great time. Anyone sitting far back up in the hill, you may have a chance to see the ocean while the first part of the show play's in daylight. I wish I was going but will wait til saturday! I predict undernieth the stars will not be the opening song since the sun will be out.
